Welcome to Okehampton Public Access Defibrillators

Until now there has been no coordinated scheme to ensure that the population of Okehampton has access to public access defibrillators (PADs). In 2017 we proposed the formulation of a charity organisation to support the funding and placement of defibrillators and free training for all.

Okehampton has an estimated population of more than 8,000 and continues to expand.

Okehampton PADs (Public Access Defibrillators) has raised funds to install 8 defibrillators at strategic locations around the town and we provide training sessions in CPR and use of defibrillators free of charge to the community throughout the year.

In the UK currently less than 10% of people survive an out of hospital cardiac arrest. We are going to offer training that will equip everyone with the skills and confidence to save a life.
